Rodney was a great man and will be greatly missed! My prayers are with you, cousin Judith, and the family. He is healed and in the presence of our Lord. Sam
I met Rodney in Gainesville and he became one of the best friends I had at UF. The laughter (mostly instigated by him), the excitement of Gator games, the shenanigans we often found ourselves part of, and the success of earning degrees at Florida will always be cherished. After graduating and moving on into life, Rodney became an even greater friend - a member of the "Gator Boyz", the best group of guys a person could ask for as friends. And despite all of the business accomplishments he experienced (which are truly amazing!), he was one of the most humble and appreciative people I have ever known. When I was coaching high school basketball and needed something for my team, he never said no - only "where do you need me to send the check to?" He was that way all of the time... As great of a friend that he was, he was even a better husband and father! Judith and the kids were his total true loves and he did everything that he could for them. I will always admire the selflessness he showed when it came to his family and his role as a father (a lot of you know exactly what I am talking about)! As sad as I am that he is gone, I know that he is no longer in pain and the struggle of the fight he showed all of us is over and he can be at peace once again. God bless Judith, Leah, Ben, and Jamie - you fought right there with him these past 4 years, and now you can be sure that he is no longer suffering... Gonna miss you 'Big Rod' and all of the great times we had over the years! #RodneyStrongForever
I worked for Rodney in my first job out of college at Andersen Consulting, and then again at Adjoined. I learned so much from him, things that I still think about to this day. He was big, brilliant, and sarcastic, a real larger than life figure. He had an impact on my life, and for that I am forever grateful. Sal
I know Mr. Rodney for more than 10 years as Virtustream CEO but got the first opportunity meeting him face to face on April 30th 2021 along with Mr. Kevin and he changed my life forever. Mr. Rodney is a great visionary and most importantly his energy level used to be amazing and I was lucky who got an opportunity to work closely with him. He was an accomplished professional and he listens carefully to people and understands what is required and does the needful. Sir even though I will be missing you I know that you no longer in pain and the struggle of the fight shown in the past 4 years is over and you can be at peace. God bless your wife and kids and they all were there fighting together and will be missing you so much. There are special people in our lives who never leave us .... even after they are gone. Sir you are one of those special person and your memory will always be in our hearts.
So sorry for your loss. I remember him in high school
I was in school with Rodney from 1st grade, through high school & we were both at UF. I have nothing but fond memories of my friend! Judith, so very sorry. Praying the peace and love of Our Lord be with you and your family.
Judith, I am so sorry for you and your family’s loss. I remember Rodney as such a nice guy. May he rest in peace.
I first met Rod when he and Kevin were starting Virtustream and wanted to buy my company. In the space of a few short questions, he utterly nailed our business, our financials, and our outlook. I walked away completely amazed at his ability to synthesize data in real time. We took the offer and I spent the next 9 years closely watching and learning from a masterclass businessman. Over that time, I also came to realize the caring human being behind the tough CEO. Rod cared deeply about not just the business but the people of which it was comprised. I left Virtustream shortly after Rod but maintained contact ever since. I have watched, hoped, prayed for him during his battle. I will miss him greatly. My deepest condolences to all of his family and friends.
Rodney and I went to elementary school -High School. Rodney was one of the first friends I made when I moved to Fl. from NY. He talked to me and made me feel so comfortable. I was so very shy and he was such a good guy,he watched over me on the bus ride to and from home . So sorry for this very hard time in your life.I pray that Peace for the whole family.
Mr. Rodney, my dear boss, is no longer with us. But we carry him in our souls because he left a mark on each of us. I work as a Housekeeper in Mr. Rodney's house, and he treated me with respect and said that I am valuable and that I am part of his family. And this is the family that God gave me to care for and serve with love.
I knew Rodney from high school in Boca. I will always remember his huge laugh and smile and genuine goodness- condolences to Judith and family- prayers for healing and strength at this difficult time.
In loving memory of my older brother, Rodney. Thank you, for being my inspiration and guiding force. I will always miss you and think of the good times we both shared growing up together. I admired you for who you were and all the things you accomplished in life. All of our family's thoughts and prayers go out to you, Rodney. I will dearly miss you.
Judith and family, my sincere condolences for your loss. Rodney was a good man with a kind soul and he will be greatly missed. May he Rest in Sweet Peace.
On behalf of the team at Revenue Analytics, our condolences to Judith and the Rogers family. Rod was the best Board member that we have had. And he was a tremendous leader, mentor, and friend. Working with him made me a better leader. I so appreciate his sage advice and counsel. As Kevin Reid said, he was the ultimate business warrior, but he was also and incredible business partner and a great friend. Rest in peace, Rod.
Very sorry to hear the heartbreaking news; Rodney was fully dedicated and loved his family and also was “one of kind business leaders”. Rodney RIP in peace my friend, you left immense legacy!
Leah, Jamie and Ben, I had the great honor of working for your dad very closely for a long time. Professionally, no one has had a greater influence on me then your father. Personally, he's right up there too (I need to be careful not to offend my own parents). I know first hand what an amazing teacher and mentor he was, and I am heartbroken he won't physically be here as you go through the next phases of your lives. But with that said, know your father lives on in you and me and everyone else he so graciously invested his time and energy in. I'll never forget what he taught me, and I hope to have the same impact on others he had on me. May his memory be a blessing.
My deepest condolences to Rodney’s family and friends. Like so many who had the opportunity to work with him, Rodney made an indelible mark on my career and in my life. He will be deeply missed.
Rodney, Judith, and their precious children and family have meant so much to me! I will forever cherish the kindness and warmth they have extended to me and to our school, Calvary Christian Academy. They have selflessly and generously been an integral part of building God’s Kingdom here on earth by investing in students to be discipled for Christ! Their love, care, and concern have moved me beyond what they will ever know. It has been an absolute honor knowing Rodney and his family over the last 10 years. Rodney has left an indelible impact on all those around him, and we look forward to seeing him one day in heaven in the arms of our Savior.
I had the privilege of meeting and working with Rodney at the very beginning of Virtustream. He acquired my business to help lay the groundwork for what Virtustream ultimately became. Beneath his tough exterior and businesslike demeanour was a kind, family-oriented, and compassionate individual. Those who had the fortune to meet, know, and work with him will undoubtedly remember how he reshaped our perspective on life and reminded us of the values that truly matter. Sandeep May his soul find peace and tranquillity in heaven. Rodney will be deeply missed by his family and everyone whose lives he touched. My thoughts especially go out to his brother and business partner, Kevin Reid, during this incredibly difficult time—I can't begin to imagine the loss he must feel. My heartfelt condolences to all of Rodney's family and friends. God gives and takes in His own time, sometimes far sooner than we expect.
So sorry for the Rogers family loss, I can share with you what an amazing experience it was to work for Rodney, someone who with a single line you could challenge you, make you laugh at yourself, and raise your performance all at the same time. It was a privilege to have worked for him. As hard working as he was and as great as he was to work for, I also remember when at work he dropped everything to catch the next flight home because of family, a lesson never lost on me when I had someone working for me in the same circumstances and I told them, "put it all down, go home - your family needs you", thinking of Rodney when I said it. He filled the room when he entered and left an impression that lasted. I still quote lines from 20 years ago to the people working for me. He may have passed from earth to heaven, but the things Rodney taught others through his actions live on and echo on around in the world still. For those who knew him, he is remembered with all the fondness in the world.
I am so sorry to hear about Rodney's passing. My deepest condolences to the Rogers family. Rodney lived an amazing life and touched so many lives for the better - myself included. We are all grateful for having come in contact with him, worked with him and learned from him. His legacy will live through the leaders he created, lives he touched and the exemplary life he lived.
As the president of their children's school, it has been an honor to have the privilege to know Rodney and Judith and their children. They are a lovely family who have added so much to the community and relationships at Calvary Christian Academy. I have been particularly impressed with their humility and willingness to help others and by the way they have walked out challenging times. I pray for Judith and the kids as you guys walk through this challenging time. Please know that we are here for you if there is anything that we can do.
First met Rod in 1998. I will always cherish his friendship and business mentoring. He was a great family man, businessman and a true friend. His capacity for all three were boundless. I will miss him dearly. Rest peacefully my friend.

We were deeply saddened to hear of Rod’s passing. We were privileged to be a part of the special unicorn that was Virtustream. Rod made everyone feel valued, no matter their role. We will always be grateful to have been a part of the company where we not only grew professionally but also met each other and married. Our thoughts are with Rod’s family and all those who knew him. His legacy will continue to inspire.

Words can't express the sadness that I have for his family. Rodney was a great man and brought a lot of good people together. I had the honor of working with him at Virtustream. What a legacy he and his leadership team built. You will be missed! The Salinas Family!
